The Bachelor of Management Science Study Program is the only program in the Department of Management. The S1 Management Science Study Program was established based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 0542/0/1983 dated December 8, 1983. From the beginning until now, the S1 Management Science Study Program has constantly improved itself by conducting periodic self-evaluations to measure internal capability and external opportunities. The self-evaluation mechanism refers to the official government-owned accreditation institution, namely the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).

Since its establishment until now, the S1 Management Science Study Program has carried out as many as five accreditation processes and four times obtained A accreditation from BAN-PT, as stated in the achievement milestone of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) above. This achievement strengthened the S1 Management Science Study Program to reach the third stage of the S1 Management Science strategic plan, which refers to the Faculty and University Restra as the parent institution. In 2021 – 2025, the S1 Management Science Study Program plans to meet the achievement of ASEAN and International, regional competitiveness. For this reason, the S1 Management Science Study Program sees opportunities for achievement that may be achieved. The stages of the process of accreditation/certification requirements of institutions or study programs, in general, can be classified as follows:
- National Level:BAN-PT: The old instrument includes seven standards, while the latest nine standards;
- Regional Level: AUN-QA Certification;
- International Level: AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS, IACBE, AAPBS, ACBSP, RSC, RCI, CAEP, and so on.
As an advanced stage, the S1 Management Science Study Program should cross to the regional stage by preparing for AUN-QA accreditation. However, referring to the Copy of the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 83/P/2020 and upon further study, AUN-QA is not an accreditation institution and only a certification body. Therefore, the S1 Management Science Study Program chose to jump directly to the international stage. Based on a copy of the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 83 / P / 2020, several international accreditation institutions are recognized by the Ministry of Education and Culture. One of them is the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
