Bengkulu University (UNIB) ‘s commitment to becoming a centre for scientific and technological progress through sustainable development is very high. This is evidenced by the development of UNIB from time to time, especially seen from the increase in Doctoral Level Study Programs at the Faculty of Economics and Business UNIB, which until now (in 2018) has had 2 (two) Doctoral Study Programs, namely the Doctoral Study Program in Management Science (established on October 20, 2013, based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, Number: 496 / E / O / 2013) and the Doctoral Study Program in Economics (established on October 7, 2014, based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, Number: 461 / E / O / 2014). Although the Doctoral Study Program in Economics was established after the establishment of the Doctoral Study Program in Management, with an intense puzzle, the Doctoral Study Program in Economics always strives to be able to make a beneficial contribution to the interests of UNIB institutions, society, and the nation, especially in improving the quality of human resources. In addition, the Doctoral Study Program in Economics strives to be able to contribute to the development of science, ability, and productivity to answer increasingly complex problems and challenges in the future. In principle, the mechanism/process of preparing / formulating the Vision and Mission of the Doctoral Study Program in Economics refers to the University of Bengkulu and the Faculty of Economics and Business UNIB. The interrelationship between the vision and mission is prepared based on the principles of coordination, integration, and synchronization; so that the successful implementation and achievement of the vision and mission of the Doctoral Study Program in Economics, it is hoped that it will provide awareness for the successful implementation and achievement of the vision and mission of the Faculty of Economics and Business UNIB, which succeeds in implementing and achieving the vision and mission of Bengkulu University.
