ENCOURAGING SDG’s VILLAGE

Master of Applied Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Bengkulu (MET FEB UNIB) carries out community service activities called PPM with the theme “Improving the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) Village Indicators” in Taba Jambu Village, Bengkulu Tengah, Bengkulu Province.
Taba Jambu Village is a village located in Bengkulu Tengah Regency. Judging from the Village SDG’s index, Taba Jambu Village, Bengkulu Tengah, is a village SDG’s index that is still relatively low, with a total of 48.21 per cent. Based on the results of field surveys, it was found that the lowest SDG’s village index included in the categories of climate change response villages, quality village education, safe and comfortable residential areas, villages without hunger, villages without poverty, and villages caring about the land environment.
This is a concern for the Master of Applied Economics program to participate in providing solutions to overcome this problem. In addition, simultaneous movement is part of the process towards improving the village’s quality of life by increasing the achievements of sustainable village development in terms of economic, social, institutional and environmental development.
The Community Service Program for the Master of Applied Economics carried out on September 23, 2022, was held at the Taba Jambu Village Hall, Bengkulu Tengah Regency, which aimed to improve the achievement of the SDG’s indicators to taba jambu village for the better.
This activity started at 09.00 WIB until 11.30 WIB and began with the opening by the Head of Taba Jambu Village, Bengkulu Tengah, then continued by Dr. Dra Purmini, M.Sc as Secretary of the Master of Applied Economics study program FEB UNIB. The activity was continued with counselling related to the manufacture of eco-enzymes by Mr Eko Sumartono, a speaker who is an expert in his field. In addition, the participants of the activity were invited to practice making eco-enzymes that can be used for many things, such as treatment, chemical soap substitutes, fertilizers, and so on.

This activity ended with the handover of souvenirs from the community service activity program of the Master of Applied Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Bengkulu, including the distribution of plant seeds and the provision of reading books for village libraries in Taba Jambu Village, Bengkulu Tengah as an effort to increase village activities that can improve the achievements of sustainable village development.
