Development economics is a branch of economics that focuses on improving fiscal, economic, and social conditions in developing countries. Development economics considers factors such as health, education, working conditions, domestic and international policies, and market conditions with a focus on improving conditions in the world’s poorest countries.

The Role of Development Economics in The Midst of a Pandemic

Generally speaking, the primary goal of economic development is to improve the economic well-being of a community through efforts that address job creation, job retention, tax base enhancements, and quality of life. Most economic development activities fit into one of the following two categories:
