ECONOMICS DAY

 

 

Bengkulu, 22 September 2022, The annual AGENDA with academic nuances held by the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNIB entitled “Economics Day” in 2022 was marked by teaching practitioners and public lectures by presenting professionals who are experts in their fields and lecturers from outside the UNIB campus.

 

 

These activities, in addition to increasing the capacity and quantity of external lecturers and practitioners who are active on campus to encourage the achievement of the institution’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI), are also beneficial for increasing the intake of up-to-date information and enriching knowledge for students and lecturers.

“We know that information technology is developing so fast that it targets all aspects of life. But nevertheless, likewise, in the field of economics, it also does not escape the influence of the disruption era as an effect of the development of industry 4.0 that is happening today. So, to update the various information, we invite practitioners and professionals as well as lecturers from outside the campus to provide knowledge enrichment to students,” said Deputy Dean I for Academic Affairs, Faculty of Economics and Business University of Bengkulu, Dr. Fachrruzaman, S.E, MDM, Ak as Economics Day Organizer Coordinator.

Practitioners and lecturers from outside the University of Bengkulu who were invited to this year’s “Economics Day” include Hidayatullah, S.E, M.Si, M.Kom, Ak, CA, CPA, CIISA, CDMP, who are Auditors of the Public Accountant Firm Bambang Sutopo and Partners in Tangerang, he is also a lecturer at the Darmajaya Institute of Informatics and Business, Lampung. Then, Roza Mulyadi, S.E, Ak, M.Akt, CA, CIPA, CIBA, CSRS, who is the Head of the Public Accounting Firm and the Roza Mulyadi Accountant Service Office, is also a permanent lecturer in the Accounting Department at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University and has been the Chair of the School Accounting Study Program College of Economics (STIE) Banten (2009-2015).

 

 

Next, Economics Day FEB UNIB also presented Edi Pranyoto, S.E, MM, CRM, CISMA who is a financial management researcher and lecturer at IIB Darmajaya Lampung, and Dr. Damanhur Abbas, Lc, MA who is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Economics and Business, Malikussaleh University (Unimal) Lhokseumawe Aceh who is also a Ustad and Lecturer.

The Economics Day agenda received appreciation and was officially opened by the Chancellor of UNIB, Dr. Retno Agustina Ekaputri, S.E, M.Sc. With this activity, said the Chancellor, in addition to pursuing institutional KPI achievements in improving the academic atmosphere, it can also provide student experience and knowledge enrichment.

“Moreover, I see that the themes raised and discussed in public lectures and FGDs on the Economics Day agenda are very relevant to current conditions, where we must quickly know and understand various developments in the economic sciences along with the rapid development of Information Technology. Much information is not obtained in lectures but can be accessed and understood by students through this activity. This means that this activity is significant and must be improved continuously,” said Dr. Retno Agustina Ekaputri.

Previously, the Dean of FEB UNIB, Dr. M. Armelly, S.E, M.Si, explained on Economics Day in 2022 that all departments and study programs at FEB UNIB held academic activities by presenting practitioners and lecturers from other campuses to provide material on various developments in economics and business sciences. Besides being held in the main meeting room of the rectorate building, FGD activities and public lectures were also held in the FEB UNIB dean meeting room.

“We would like to thank all resource persons, practitioners, and lecturers from partner campuses of FEB UNIB who have been willing to share experiences, information, and knowledge with FEB UNIB students. Hopefully, this activity will be useful for all of us, especially to improve the academic atmosphere,” he said.

The themes raised in the general lecture and Economics Day FGD were “Accountants Are No Longer Needed!” with Auditor and Lecturer IIB Darmajaya Lampung Hidayatullah, “Young Entrepreneur Opportunities and Their Preparation: Student Perspective” with resource person Roza Mulyadi who is the Head of the Public Accounting Firm as well as a permanent Lecturer in the Accounting Department at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University.

Next, a public lecture with the theme “Halal Industry as Economic Motor in Indonesia” was presented by Malikussaleh University Lecturer Dr. Damanhur, Lc, MA. Then, at the Department of Development Economics, seminars were held with the theme “Quantitative Data Analysis and Applications in Scientific Journal Writing,” and at the Management Department, a seminar, “Research Data Processing (Quantitative Statistics) for Students with Edi Pranyoto as the resource person.

Previously, a general lecture was held with the theme “Effectiveness of Fintech in Optimizing Philatropy for Millennials,” which presented Dr. Damanhur Abbas as a speaker in the hall of the FEB UNIB building and a Joint Lecture with Practitioners of the Industrial World with the theme “Preparation to Become an Accounting Auditor and Consultant and Character Building for Professionals” with Hidayatullah as the speaker.
